Congratulations!

Did you know my sister's a big shot?

She is. So I sent her this card.

What else says "Congratulations" like a bunny with bangs?

Here's to the new Academic Coordinator for the College of Arts and Sciences, Kansas State University. :)

Gift Tags

I think there are lots of neat things you could do with these.

And probably some one else more computer savvy than me would know how to put them into a PDF or something repeating so that you could just print them out and use them.
Sorry 'bout that. But aren't they pretty and oh so cute?
And now I can use them without fretting about it.
I am definitely re-using this one. I love it.

Thank You

While I was away, I had lots of nice comments (in person) about how I was missed.
Allow me this opportunity to share my thanks.

Prayers, Please

One of my uncles is having open-heart surgery this morning. Say a prayer?
Thanks.

Wrapping Paper

I'm fessin' up. Did you know I have another paper goods addiction?

Sometimes, at Goodwill, they have old wrapping paper. I have a hoard-y stash of it.
I decided to try scanning it, in the hopes that it would help me to use it, but figuring out how to scan it to catch the repeat made me feel a little crazy.

I suppose that's fair.

The Art of Gift Wrapping

I got this little gem in a box full of auction stuff awhile ago, and it's been sitting patiently, waiting for me to sit for a minute and enjoy it.

On Saturday it was cold and icy and after switching out all of my summer things for winter things and doing a big clothing purge,

I sat down with a cup of coffee in my nice red chair and enjoyed this book.

Can you imagine actually executing these bows?

I need a time machine

In one of the boxes of cards I bought (I know! I bought boxes!) I found this advertisement.

(When reading, please use the British pronunciation of advertisement. It will be more fun for you).

I think that is something I would really enjoy. And I definitely would enjoy taping a quarter to the form and mailing it in. Alas, those days are gone.

I found a couple of copies online here and here, but inflation has taken its toll. *sigh*

Breaking my own rules

I stopped by the Sunflower Thrift shop today...you know, just for a minute.

Found my nemesis, cute old cards. They only take cash, and I actually ran over to the ATM so that I could get the cards. Ridiculous.

And I broke my only real rule: no Get Well cards. Because I just don't send them out. Everything else, I can use, but those Get Well cards, maybe we just get well too quickly these days...I never end up sending them out.

But really-how could I resist this?

Leaving the store I decided I would just start sending out Get Well cards for other occasions. So if you get one for your Birthday, just admire the cuteness and ignore the inappropriateness. :)
