Daycare in Paris

My favorite NPR correspondent is Eleanor Beardsley. I love the Southern Accent mixed with the French. I like to think about how life took her to live in Paris. It's a fun daydream.

Monday morning Matthew pointed me to this story about her son and daycare in Paris.

Hear the Story (click "listen now" right above the picture of Maxime-it's worth it to listen, you won't have as much fun if you just read.)

How interesting! I can't imagine we could afford to hire workers in our daycare centers or schools who would prepare meals that way. It sounds like it is such a part of their culture there that even a low wage worker would think it the only reasonable way to prepare food, even for a large group. Maybe creating fine food is just part of the common knowledge there, and not a speciality skill like it is here?
